Mortgage Portfolio Protection Program (MPPP): A program
designed to assist lending institutions to maintain compliance with
the Flood Disaster Protection Act of 1973, as amended. MPPP
is a force-placed policy.
National Reform Act of 1994
- Coverage Offered: The same coverage that are available under the
Regular Program.
- Waiting Period: Effective immediately only in conjunction
with mortgage portfolio reviews and the servicing of those
portfolios by lenders and mortgage servicing companies. The
MPPP is not allowed to be used in conjunction with any form
of loan origination.
- Information needed to obtain a MPPP quote:
- Name and Mailing Address of Insured
- Address of Insured Mortgaged Property
- Community Information: NFIP Community # & Panel #
- Occupancy Type
- Flood Zone
- Amount of Coverage
- Name and Address of Mortgagee & Loan #
